Theatre Westminster will present four upcoming showings of “May 4th Voices: Kent State 1970” in Beeghly Theatre.

Show times are 7:30 p.m., April 28, 29 and 30, and 2:30 p.m., May 1.

The play brings together first-person narratives about the May 4, 1970, shootings at Kent State University (KSU). The play, written by David Hassler and directed by Scott Mackenzie, is based on the Kent State Shootings Oral History Project.

The project includes more than 115 interviews with National Guardsmen, students, townspeople and politicians, capturing the sense of trauma, confusion and fear felt by people who witnessed or were involved with the shootings.
