This month, five Westminster College honors students presented their research at the Northeast Regional Honors Conference in Cambridge, Mass. from March 31-April 3.

The Conference brings together thousands of honors students from colleges and universities across the Northeast to share papers, posters, and ideas relevant to this year’s conference theme, “Migrations.”

Ashlyn Brown, junior neuroscience major, presented her paper, “Migratory Movement of Infertile Couples.” Melissa Bischak and Kelly Higby, senior biology majors, presented posters focused on cell migration, while Alina Clough, sophomore political science major, and Tyler Heintz, sophomore physics major, presented their poster predicting the migration of the cosmos.

Dr. Bethany Hicok, honors program director and professor of English, accompanied the students.

“The trip was an opportunity for students to showcase their hard work, as well as connect with honors students from across the region,” said Hicok.

Westminster College’s Honors Program is a competitive, global four-year program that features a unique core curriculum of challenging courses, international travel, and advanced disciplinary and interdisciplinary research. To find out more, visit the Honors Page.
