“Service should be a way of life for each of us,” said Rev. James Mohr, college chaplain. “To give of one’s self can be one of the most meaningful things a person can do. As a Westminster student, you don’t have the ability to give money now…but you have time, talent, ability and energy. We all have God-given gifts. Why not share the wealth?”

Our hope is that every student who graduates from Westminster will take the risk and spend Spring Break on a work trip, serving at a soup kitchen, building a home, or volunteering at an after school program. We have found that a lifetime of service begins by one taking the first step.

It is amazing the number of seniors who go on a trip and say, “I should have done this as a first year student - this has been the most life-changing thing I have ever done." Through Spring Break with a Purpose, Westminster students have served in Iowa, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, the Bahamas, Mexico and more. Encourage a student you know by learning more.
