Westminster College announced its most recent ranking as 16th “Great Colleges for STEM Degrees” in the nation, among small colleges.

Best Degree Programs, a premier resource guide for locating the right degrees at the nation’s top colleges and universities, presented the ranking, measured by school size, research opportunities, awards and recognitions, and variety of STEM majors.

“With science, technology, engineering, and math-related jobs on the rise, more and more students are spending their college years elbow deep in math problems, computer software, and biology experiments,” according to Kelsey Fox of the Best Degree Program website. “Unfortunately, a STEM degree is most often associated with larger campuses where class sizes are huge and research opportunities few. Luckily, some of the most respected colleges for STEM have less than 4,000 students.”

Westminster ranked among other national leaders, including Davidson College in North Carolina, Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts, Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey, Andrews University in Michigan, and more.
