More than a thousand members of various Christian denominations and their missionaries will be gathering at Westminster College for the 110th New Wilmington Mission Conference. All meetings and events are free and open to the public.

This year, NWMC will feature talks from Mike Haddox, Marilyn Borst, Rev. Jaun Sarmiento and many others. There are programs designed specifically for elementary, middle and high school students, as well as college students and adults. Childcare for younger children will also be available.

This summer’s mission project will be Stop Hunger Now, an organization that packages and transports food to various countries in need. This will the fifth year that NWMC and Stop Hunger Now have teamed up. Last year, 24,800 meals were packaged the week of NWMC and sent all over the world.

Additionally, there will be talks on Monday and Friday from this year’s Summer Service Team. The team of seven is currently serving their six weeks in Cuba. Once back in the States, the team will be available to share their stories and experiences from their time in Cuba.

There are also plans in place for a special event for all past and present Summer Service Team members featuring pictures, stories, food and fellowship.

For a complete schedule of speakers and locations or to register, visit www.NWMCmission.org or call the NWMC office at (724) 946-9770.  If you cannot attend, morning and evening meetings can be viewed on live streaming video on the website. Later, there will be podcasts of speakers available.
