Students Prepare for Final Capstone

Fourteen Westminster College Modern Language and Intercultural Studies students begin week-long capstone presentations today in Thompson-Clark room 315.

The schedule is as follows:

THURSDAY, APRIL 20, 2 p.m.
Lamar, PA
 Margie Muir is a daughter of Thomas and Nellilou Muir.  Muir, a senior Spanish, theatre, and music major, will speak about "How the Gypsies Function as Spain in the Poetry of Federico Garcia Lorca." She is a graduate of Central Mountain High School.

THURSDAY, APRIL 20, 2:30 p.m.
New Brighton, PA
Jessica Holiday is a daughter of Robert and Wendy Holiday.  Holiday, a senior Spanish major, will speak about "The Importance of Hispanic Consumer Culture in the United States." She is a graduate of New Brighton Area High School.

Pittsburgh, PA
Jaycie Galbraith is a daughter of Roger and Lynn Galbraith.  Galbraith, a senior Spanish and public relations major, will speak about "The Films of Pedro Almodovar: The Movida Madrilena in a Liberated Spain." She is a graduate of Shaler Area High School.

Rebecca Myers is a daughter of Leo and Alice Myers.  Myers, a senior intercultural studies major, will speak about "Latinos and the United States: The Impact Each Has on the Other." She is a graduate of Woodland Hills High School.

New Brighton, PA
 Brian Daniels is a son of Brian and Eunice Daniels.  Daniels, a senior Spanish and international business major, will speak about "US Policy and the Latin American Left: Hugo Chavez, Savior of the Oppressed or Bane of the Free Market World?" He is a graduate of Freedom Area High School.

 Jennifer Gross is a daughter of Bruce and Lois Gross.  Gross, a senior French major, will speak about "The Three Musketeers: A Stolen Myth or History Made Famous." She is a graduate of Otto-Eldred High School.

 Sarah Bolger is a daughter of Terrence and Dorita Bolger.  Bolger, a senior French and international politics major, will speak about "Frenchness and the French Cinema." She is a graduate of West Middlesex Area High School.
