Professor Emeritus Publishes Book

Posted on Thursday, January 29, 2015

Dr. David Gray, Westminster College professor of psychology emeritus, recently published When Everyone Wins: From Inequality to Cooperation.

Gray's book makes the case that everything runs more smoothly when everyone is a winner in contrast to one winning at the expense of others.  His approach relies heavily on behavioral sciences to achieve the goal through cooperation instead of competition.  This more cooperative approach has helped democracies, religions and companies and can be applied to individuals.

Gray taught at his alma mater 38 years, chairing its Department of Psychology for 17 years, and was recognized with the 2003 Distinguished Faculty Award.

The book's foreword is written by Dr. Sandra Webster, Westminster professor of psychology and long-time friend and colleague of Gray.
