NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - The Westminster College Athletics Program will host its first Titan Sports Experience June 23-27. The program is open to children in the community who are entering kindergarten through 10th grade. The children can either participate in a non-residential day camp, or an overnight residential day camp.
The camp introduces children to the fundamentals of an action-packed lineup of activities with age-appropriate, skill-based instruction as well as recreational games. The program is designed to promote sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork and self-confidence while introducing the campers to activities such as canoeing, soccer, swimming, basketball, deck hockey, baseball/softball, flag football, hiking, tennis, track and field, and more. The camper gets to choose the activities they would like to participate in.
Campers receive instruction through an experienced coaching staff and through a series of special guest appearances by college coaches, high school coaches, and other guests in the fields of sports and fitness.
The residential day camp cost is $250 per child and includes meals in the dining hall. The non-residential camp is open to children up through eighth grade and costs $120 per child. A family discount is available at $10 per child. Children have a choice of bringing their lunch or purchasing a lunch on campus.
A Tiny Titan Experience will also be offered for children ages 5 to 7. Activities include relay races, kickball, parachute games, as well as several other kids' games. Cost is $60 per child.
