Westminster College Orchestra Presents Spring Concert May 1

The Westminster College Orchestra will present a spring concert Sunday, May 1, at 3 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.

Under the baton of John Murcko, the orchestra will perform Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance," Ippolotov-Ivanov's "Procession of the Sadar," Smith's "Overture for a Celebration," Copland's "Shaker Melody," Handel's "Prelude and Fugue in d minor," Bach's "Joy of Man's Desiring," and Berlioz's "Hungarian March."

The concert will also feature two winners of the Concerto and Aria competition recently held at Westminster College.  Matthew Fodor, a junior music performance major from Hermitage, and William McCullough, a freshman music education major from DuBois.  Fodor will perform Mozart's "C Major Concerto # 21, and McCullough will sing Stradella's "Pieta, Signore!"
