Opera Westminster to Present Amore e Morte – Scenes of Love and Impending Doom April 6

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Opera Westminster will present "Amore e Morte" Saturday, April 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.  The program is free and open to the public.
                                                                  
Westminster students will perform scenes on love and death from The Magic Flute, Don Giovanni, Un Ballo in Maschera, La Traviata, Orfeo ed Euridice, Carmen, Samson, and La Boheme.

Westminster faculty and staff assisting in the production are: Dr. Larry Miller, associate professor of chemistry, and Dr. Jesse Mann, vice president and dean of academic affairs.

The event is coordinated by stage director Dr. Anne Hagan Bentz, Westminster associate professor of music, and orchestra conductor Mihai Vilcu, Westminster adjunct music faculty.  Westminster adjunct music faculty Marie Libal-Smith, adjunct music faculty, is the pianist. An orchestra of Westminster faculty, students, and guest musicians will provide instrumental support.
