Coco avant Chanel (Coco before Chanel), the second film in Westminster College's Tournées Film Festival, will be shown Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. in the Sebastian Mueller Theater of the McKelvey Campus Center.  The event is free and open to the public.

The contemporary film will be subtitled in English.  A discussion will follow the screening.

The 2009 film is directed by Anne Fontaine.  It earned honors for Best Costume Design (César Awards, France), Film Composer of the Year (World Soundtrack Awards), and Best Music (Etoiles d'Or) and was nominated for numerous others.

The movie tells the story of Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel (Audrey Tautou), one of the world's great fashion designers, from her arrival at a French orphanage to the heights of the fashion world.
