College Promotes 13 Faculty

Thirteen Westminster College faculty recently received promotions.

Dr. Beverly Cushman, who has been with Westminster since 2004, was tenured and promoted to associate professor of religion and Christian education. Dr. Natacha Fontes-Merz, who has been with Westminster since 2004, was tenured and promoted to associate professor of mathematics. Dr. Sarah Kennedy, who joined the Westminster faculty in 2009, was promoted to assistant professor of chemistry. Dr. Deborah Mitchell, who has been with Westminster since 1992, was promoted to professor of English and film studies. She earned undergraduate and master's degrees from Youngstown State University and Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Katherine Robertson, who has been with Westminster since 2005, was tenured and promoted to associate professor of biology. She earned an undergraduate degree from Paddington College (United Kingdom) and master's and Ph.D. from the University of London. Dr. Kristenne Robison, who joined the Westminster faculty in 2009, earned a Ph.D. and was promoted to assistant professor of sociology. She earned an undergraduate degree from Baldwin-Wallace College, master's from The Ohio State University, and master's and Ph.D. from Syracuse University. David Smith, who has been with Westminster since 2004, was tenured and promoted to associate professor of accounting.
