Chapel Drama to Present "Honk!" March 21

Westminster College's Chapel Drama will present Honk! Sunday, March 21, at 2 and 7 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel. The performances are open to the public. A freewill offering will be collected.

The musical was written by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe based on Hans Christian Andersen's "The Ugly Duckling." It tells the story of Ugly, an odd-looking baby duck who sparks prejudice from his family and neighbors. During the journey to find his mother after they become separated, Ugly discovers his true beauty and finds love and acceptance.

Honk! is entirely student-produced. Senior music education major Deanna Owens is the director. Junior music education major Ali Pabrinkis is choreographer, with assistance from freshman music education major Hannah Jaskiewicz. Senior music education major Alison Paden is musical director and sophomore music education major Megan Morrow is assistant musical director. Senior music education major Sarah Ortz is conductor. Senior English major Derek Deremer is in charge of set design. Freshman accounting and business administration major Zachary Cramer and freshman early childhood education/special education major Carol Sulla are in charge of light and sound.
