Symphony Orchestra in Concert Oct. 27

The Westminster College Symphony Orchestra will present its fall concert Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

The program will include works by Beethoven, Faure, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Schubert.

Westminster faculty participating in the orchestra are Dr. David Cushman, professor and chair of Westminster's Department of Economics and Business, on oboe; and Dr. Daniel Perttu, assistant professor of music, on bassoon.

The orchestra is under the direction of Melinda Crawford Perttu, who joined the Westminster faculty in August. She earned an undergraduate degree from Duquesne University and a master's from Ohio State University.
