College Adds 10 New Full-Time Faculty

Westminster College recently added 10 new full-time faculty members.

Regine Ananou, visiting lecturer of Spanish, earned an undergraduate degree in business administration and management from University Paul Sabatier; an undergraduate degree and a master's in international business in English and Spanish from the University of Toulouse Le Mirail; and is enrolled in a post-baccalaureate teacher licensure program at Mary Baldwin College. James Anthony, visiting lecturer of mathematics, earned an undergraduate degree in secondary education - mathematics with computer science specialization from Lock Haven University and a master's in mathematics with a specialty in number theory and primality testing from The Pennsylvania State University. He has teaching experience at Lock Haven University, The Pennsylvania State University, Pennsylvania School of Technology, and most recently at Slippery Rock University. Dr. Lesley Ashmore, visiting assistant professor of biology, earned an undergraduate degree in neuroscience from Illinois Wesleyan University and Ph.D. in neuroscience from The University of Pennsylvania. Gianni Downs, assistant professor of theatre, earned an undergraduate degree in theatre arts with a fine art minor from the University of New Hampshire and a master of fine art in scenic design from Brandeis University. He comes to Westminster from Carnegie Mellon University and has teaching experience at the University of Pittsburgh and Point Park University. Dr. Eric Forster, assistant professor and assistant librarian, earned an undergraduate degree in classical civilizations from Harvard University Extension School, a master's in cultural anthropology from The New School for Social Research, Ph.D. in medieval history from Saint Louis University, and master's in library science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a research assistant in serials cataloguing. Dr. Sarah Kennedy, visiting assistant professor of chemistry, earned an undergraduate degree in chemistry from Westminster College and Ph.D. in chemistry, biological division, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a GAANN fellow. Dr. David Offner, assistant professor of mathematics, earned an undergraduate degree in mathematics from Yale University and Ph.D. in mathematics with concentration in algorithms, combinatorics, and optimization from Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Karen Resendes, assistant professor of biology, earned an undergraduate degree in biology from the College of William and Mary and Ph.D. in molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry from Brown University. Her teaching and research experience comes from Brown University and San Diego State University, where she was recently a lecturer. Kristenne Robison, instructor of sociology, earned an undergraduate degree in psychology from Baldwin-Wallace College, a master's in education from The Ohio State University, and a master's in sociology from Syracuse University, where she is pursuing a Ph.D. in sociology. Brenda Swart, visiting lecturer of Spanish, earned an undergraduate degree in Spanish and a master's with a specialization in Latin American literature and culture from the University of Houston.
