Westminster College's Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning will host "The Best of Westminster" undergraduate research symposium Friday and Saturday, April 24-25.

The symposium is a showcase for student creative and research efforts. It will feature the work of 91 Westminster students, who will present posters, oral presentations, documentaries, art projects, and performances over the two days.

"An important goal of Westminster College is to create a culture in which intellectual activities such as research and creativity are valued," said Dr. Terri Lenox, Westminster associate professor of computer science and co-director of the Drinko Center. "The Best of Westminster - The Undergraduate Research Symposium allows students to showcase their work and allows the community to celebrate their work."

Posters will be on display in the McKelvey Campus Center starting at 2 p.m. Friday and from 8:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Orr Auditorium Lobby is the location for scenes from Theatre Westminster's production of Pride and Prejudice Friday at 4:15 p.m., followed by senior art talks at 5 p.m., and a reception from 4:30-6 p.m.

Presentations and documentaries are scheduled Saturday from 8:30-10:30 a.m. in McKelvey Campus Center and Thompson-Clark Hall.

The Westminster College Honors Convocation begins at 11 a.m. in Orr Auditorium.

All events are free and open to the public.
