Education Professor Appointed to National Review Board

Dr. Amy Camardese, Westminster College associate professor of education, was appointed to a three-year term on the Board of Program Reviewers of the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).

The Board is composed of program reviewers who have been co-trained by their Specialized Professional Associations and NCATE and have successfully completed one program review.

As a member of the Board, Camardese will participate in at least one cycle of program reviews annually; complete program reviews in accordance with NCATE deadlines; work collaboratively in the review process; and respond to reviewer evaluation activities.

Prior to her appointment, Camardese took two days of specialized training, followed by annual refresher courses and updates over the past four years.

Camardese, who has been with Westminster since 2001, earned an undergraduate degree from Ohio University, master's from the University of Pittsburgh, and Ph.D. from Kent State University.
