Westminster College to Host McLin/Campbell Duo in Concert

Westminster College will host the McLin/Campbell Duo for a violin and piano recital Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public.

The program features works by Jean Maire Leclair, Gabriela Lena Frank, Karol Szymanowski, and Ottorino Respighi.

Violinist Katherine McLin is a concerto soloist, recitalist, chamber and orchestral musician, and concertmaster of the Columbus (Ohio) ProMusica Chamber Orchestra. She won the 2004 Distinguished Teacher Award for the College of Fine Arts at Arizona State University, and gave the featured Pre-College Violin Master Class at the 2008 ASTA conference.

Pianist Andrew Campbell has established himself as one of the most versatile collaborative pianists in the United States. He is assistant professor of collaborative piano and chamber music at the Arizona State University School of Music. During the summer season, he directs the collaborative piano program at the Brevard Music Center in North Carolina and serves as principal pianist for its Festival Orchestra.
