Westminster College to Host Band Festival

Westminster College will host the 13th annual Mercer Mustang Band Show Saturday, Sept. 20, at 7 p.m. at Burry Stadium.

The festival, originally scheduled for the Mercer High School stadium, was relocated due to severe wind damage to the stadium.

High school marching bands scheduled to appear are: Allegheny/Clarion Valley; Girard (Pa.), under the direction of 2004 Westminster College graduate Chris Dearbeck; Lincoln in Ellwood City; Highlands in Natrona Heights; Mercer; and North Allegheny.

The Westminster College Titan Marching Band, under the direction of Dr. R. Tad Greig, assistant professor of music and director of bands, will also perform.

Tickets for the event are $4 for adults and $3 for students.
