Westminster College to Host Poetry and Arts Festival

Westminster College will host four nationally recognized poets reading from their works at "Fill the Day: Scrawl Poetry and Arts Festival" Friday, Feb. 29, in the Berlin Lounge of the McKelvey Campus Center. The event is free and open to the public.

The festival is sponsored by Scrawl, Westminster's literary and arts publication.

William Greenway, Youngstown State University professor of English, will read at 9:20 a.m. He is the author of eight collections of poetry, including Fishing at the End of the World.

Berwyn Moore, Gannon University professor of English, will read at 11:40 a.m. Moore is the author of Dissolution of Ghosts.

Philip Terman, Clarion University professor of English, will read at 2 p.m. He is the author of three poetry collections, including Rabbis of the Air.

Steve Scafidi will read at 4:10 p.m. His collections are For Love of Common Words and Sparks from a Nine Pound Hammer.

The day's activities will conclude with an open mic night at 9 p.m., when the stage will be open for Westminster students to read their work.
