Concert Choir Plans Winter Tour

Westminster College's Concert Choir will sing at a variety of locations in West Virginia, Tennessee, and Kentucky on their annual tour, Jan. 7-14, 2008.

Under the direction of Dr. Robin Lind, Westminster director of choral activities, the group of 44 students will begin the week-long trip with a 7:30 p.m. concert Monday, Jan. 7, at First Presbyterian Church in Charleston, W.Va.

From Charleston, the choir will travel to Knoxville, Tenn., where they will give a concert at Farragut Presbyterian Church on Tuesday evening, Jan. 8. After an overnight stop in Gatlinburg, Tenn., the group will continue to Nashville, where they will present a concert at Second Presbyterian Church on Thursday, Jan. 10.

Their next stop will be in Memphis, where they will visit attractions such as the Civil Rights Museum and Graceland.

Sunday, Jan. 13, will be spent in Louisville, Ky., where the group will participate in worship services at Second Presbyterian Church and present an afternoon concert. They will give a morning performance at the Presbyterian Center in Louisville on Monday, Jan. 14, before heading home.
