Celebrity Series Presents Marie Osmond

Posted on Tuesday, November 27, 2007

Westminster College's Celebrity Series will feature Marie Osmond performing "The Magic of Christmas" at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, in Orr Auditorium.

The Christmas-themed show will include a medley of Osmond's hits over the past 25 years, a video of scenes from televised Osmond Family Christmas shows, and members of her family joining her on stage.

Osmond, who has most recently been seen on television's "Dancing with the Stars," has been performing since the age of three, when she appeared with her brothers on "The Andy Williams Show."

Throughout her varied career, she has appeared on television and Broadway; in concerts and made-for-TV movies; has developed a successful brand of collectible dolls; and is co-founder, with actor John Schneider, of the Children's Miracle Network, which has raised almost $2 billion for children's hospitals since 1983.

The show is underwritten in part by Giant Eagle.

The show is sold out. Contact Connie McGinnis, assistant director of the Celebrity Series, at (724) 946-7354, e-mail mcginncl@westminster.edu, or visit www.westminster.edu/Celebrity for additional information.
