Tibetan Student to Discuss His Country Oct. 19

Xire Jiancuo, a Tibetan student, will speak at Westminster College Thursday, Oct. 19, at 4:15 p.m. in the Berlin Student Lounge located in the McKelvey Campus Center.

Xire, also known as Gregory in the United States, was a participant in the English Language Program at Qinghai Normal University in China. After graduation, he received a full scholarship to attend Reed College in Oregon, where he is currently a junior. During this symposium, he will speak about his work to improve living conditions and education while preserving cultural traditions in Tibet.
