Dr. Pamela Richardson, Westminster College assistant professor of mathematics, recently presented a paper at the International Congress of Mathematics (ICM) satellite conference on "Associative and Nonassociative Algebraic Structures" held in Oviedo, Spain.

"This international research conference featured invited addresses by leading nonassociative algebraists, as well as special sessions in Lie theory, Jordan theory, and the applications thereof," Richardson said. "I presented a paper titled, "Centroids of Quadratic Jordan Superalgebras" in the special session on Jordan theory."

Richardson earned her under graduate degree from Bowling Green State University and her Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. Before coming to Westminster this fall, Richardson taught at John Carroll University and the University of Virginia.
