Westminster College Announces Homecoming Court

Twelve Westminster College students were picked to serve as the homecoming court during the festivities planned for Saturday, Oct. 12.

The candidates represent each sorority, fraternity and independent selections, and the student body will vote for the king and queen and will be presented during half-time of the 1 p.m. football game Saturday.

The following are nominated for Queen:

Ellwood City, PA
Sara Ialongo
is a daughter of David and Lydia Ialongo, 422 Beatty St. Ialongo, a junior public relations major, is a graduate of Lincoln High School. The Zeta Tau Alpha candidate is on the Argo and Holcad staff, cross country team, Lambda Sigma member, orchestra member and participates in Relay for Life.

Hermitage, PA
Julie Lechner
is a daughter of John and Marilyn Lechner, 440 South Neshannock Road. Lechner, a junior English major, is a graduate of Hickory High School. The Phi Mu candidate is Student Government treasurer, a member of the Westminster Chorale, Student Alumni Association, Fresh Start, and the Food Advisory Committee.

Pittsburgh, PA
Jessica Henninger
is a daughter of Paul and Edna Henninger, 3112 Willett Road. Henninger, a junior elementary education major, is a graduate of Brentwood High School. The independent candidate is a member of the Student Westminster Admissions Team, Browne Hall Council, intramural volleyball player, Emergency Learning teaching assistant, House Council president, and participates in Relay for Life.

Kristen Kulick i
s a daughter of David and Susan Kulick, 133 Hornaday Road. Kulick, a sophomore international politics major, is a graduate of Seton-La Salle High School. The Alpha Gamma Delta candidate is a member of Fresh Start, Dance Theater, Student Westminster Admissions Team, Panhel, and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

North Royalton, OH
Jessica Young
is a daughter of Robert Young, 7223 Wallings Road. Young, a junior physics major, is a graduate of North Royalton High School. The Sigma Kappa candidate is a student representative to the Board of Trustees, a member of Student Government Association, Society of Physics Students, Sigma Pi Sigma, Enrollment Manangement Council, Fresh Start, Kappa Mu Epsilon, Learning Center tutor, and Blood Drive volunteer.

Lowellville, OH
Krista Nolfi
is a daughter of Donald and Donna Nolfi, 2059 South Hubbard Road. Nolfi, a junior elementary education major, is a graduate of Lowellville High School. The Kappa Delta candidate is a member of the Student Westminster Admissions Team, Student Government Association, Kappa Delta Pi, and Westminster Preschool volunteer.

Conway, PA
David Dobbins
is a son of Chester and Karen Dobbins, 1425 Foote St. Dobbins, a junior neuroscience major, is a graduate of Freedom Area High School. The Phi Kappa Tau candidate is the vice president of Lambda Sigma, chair of the Greek Week Committee, Student Government Senator, a member of the Student Alumni Association, Beta Beta Beta, and cross country team.

McDonald, PA
John Libert
is a son of Lee and Carolyn Libert, 10 Penny Lane. Libert, a junior speech communication major, is a graduate of Fort Cherry High School. The independent candidate is a member of Fresh Start, Student Westminster Admissions Team, Student Alumni Association, Seekers, Asian Culture Club treasurer, cross country and tennis teams.

Pittsburgh, PA
Christopher Borsani
is a son of Ralph and Joanne Borsani, 314 S. Atlantic Ave. Borsani, a junior English major, is a graduate of Schenley High School Teacher Center. The Sigma Phi Epsilon candidate is Lambda Sigma treasurer, a participant in Greek Week, Feast n' Fire, Greek Sweep, Relay for Life, Miss Titan contest and Jubilee Conference.

Thomas Moore
is a son of Todd and Sally Moore, 460 Sleepy Hollow Road. Moore, a junior religion major, is a graduate of Mount Lebanon High School. The Theta Chi candidate is a member of the Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Men's Choir and Eta Sigma Phi.

New Castle, PA
Gerald Guido
is a son of Gerald and Anna Guido, 433 Edgewood Ave. Guido, a sophomore history major, is a graduate of New Castle High School. The Sigma Nu candidate is a member of the Titan Football team, intramural basketball and participates in Daffodil Day.

New Wilmington, PA
David DiDesiderio
is a son of Margaret DiDesiderio, 330 W. Vine St. and Gerald DiDesiderio, R.D. 1, New Wilmington. DiDesiderio, a sophomore public relations major, is a graduate of Wilmington Area High School. The Alpha Sigma Phi candidate is a member of the Outdoor and Conservation Club, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band and a Relay for Life participant.
