Westminster College Senior to Give Piano Recital

Stanley H. Rothrock II, a senior music education major, will perform a piano recital at Westminster College Saturday, Feb. 3, at 3 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.

Rothrock's program includes Telemann's "Trio Sonata in D Major," Saint-Saen's "Caprice on Danish and Russian Airs, Op 79," Koechlin's "Epitaph de Jean Harlow, Op. 164," and Brahams' "Trio in E-flat Major, Op.40."

Rothrock is from the studio of Dr. Nancy Zipay DeSalvo, assistant professor of music at Westminster College. He will be assisted by Westminster College students Rebecca Hall-Baldwin on the clarinet, Kerry L. Barker on the oboe, Keith A. Dryburgh on the violin, Theodore L. Merklin, Jr. on the bassoon, and J. Michael Taylor on the saxophone, as well as two former Westminster College students, Jeff Johns on the violin, and Gabriel Moore on the flute, and Professor of Music Grover A. Pitman.

Rothrock is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Rothrock, 203 Forest Hill Rd., Yeagertown. He is a graduate of Indian Valley High School.
