Westminster College Continues Diversity Symposium with Examination of Effects of Sexual Orientation on Earnings

Dr. Dan Black, professor of economics at Syracuse University, will discuss his research, "The Effect of Sexual Orientation on Earnings," Monday, Feb. 19, at 4 p.m. at Phillips Lecture Hall, located in the Hoyt Science Resources Center room G-12.

In addition to teaching both undergraduate and graduate classes, Black has authored two books and numerous articles about his research interests, which include labor economics, public economics and applied microeconomics.

Black earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas, masters from Purdue University and the University of Kansas, and his Ph.D. from Purdue University.

This program, which is free and open to the public, is part of the continuing Westminster College Diversity Symposium designed to help students and the community acquire a knowledge and appreciation of differences among people, human cultures, and the natural world.
